First time stay at the end of October -- I love staying at the converted motels, I think it's got a fun feel. Rooms were small, but comfy beds. Storage was a bit tough but doable. We were two people in a two double room, would be tough to fit 4 people in there, but for us it was fine. Pool was the highlight, 2ft to 6ft makes it very family friend, ample chairs and towels, and also some cabanas, though seems like you have to rent them out so we didn't touch it. Bar/restaurant are combined, within a few yards of the pool, so easy enough to order and come back out. Had breakfast one morning which was better then expected, though typical hotel prices. Price was great during the weekend we stayed. Location was pretty good to get to where-ever in Tucson. Will definitely look to stay again!
Stayed at this hotel over the weekend of Oct 14th 2023 - I cannot say that I'm impressed with the quality of this hotel.
It did seem like a hotel that was just a painted over and dressed up Motel 6.
The check-in area is a very small round desk that is staffed by a single employee in another room with no direct line of sight to the area. We walked in and thought no one was working and wandered a bit before finding out where the check-in area was located.
The rooms were kinda small and had little to no storage for clothing or bags (unless you stored bags directly underneath your bed).
The bedding was clean and nice. However, we did find a couple of big roaches in our room. It scurried in and out of a hole in the bathroom under the sink.
The amenities were acceptable. The pool was deep (2ft-6.5ft), but you could rent the cabanas. This did feel odd as there seemed to be no demand for them the weekend we were there (during Tucson Meet Yourself and 95F degree weather). The laundry room had out of order machines and the water bottle fill station was worse than a snails pace to fill your container. It didn't help that the water smelled like chlorine (like a pool).
The coffee was pretty decent.
In the end, I would 100% look for another hotel in the same price range but this isn't a terrible spot by all means.
Sorry Marriott. Nothing to boast about here, especially charging 28,000 points per night! As a long-time Bonvoy member, I am disappointed.
The room pictures on the website are more deceiving than usual, as the King room is very small with inadequate clothing/luggage storage, no decaf coffee, no ice bucket, and no electrical outlet within reasonable reach of one side of the bed.
It appears the fabric shower curtain was an afterthought, and having a fabric shower curtain against your body in a hotel scenario is just gross.(The small size of the shower allows water to be sprayed beyond the glass enclosure, all the way into the bedroom, unless the curtain is completely closed).
We asked for an ice bucket and were directed to an empty supply in the 'ice room' so we had to make another trip to the desk to get one. A small inconvenience to be sure, but it speaks to the level of professionalism and attention to detail. Levi, the desk attendant, was polite about it though and provided us with a filled bucket from the kitchen area.
Marcos was a kind bartender and the burger was decent (although 6 steak fries is a very skimpy portion size).
Overall, this property is a far cry from what I've come to expect from Marriott properties.
Nice, seemingly newly redone hotel. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were well appointed. Soaps did not appear to be vegan (glycerin). However, there were a selection of non-dairy milks available with the coffee/tea, which seems almost unheard of at most hotels! The property was secured with a fence that was closed after hours. Right near I-10. The gym is 24 hours and has two incline trainers, a stationary bike, and some dumbbells. The front desk is not 24 hours. The main downside was hearing noise from the room via adjoining door.
First time stay, it was a nice calm chill hotel. The vibe was good the front desk people are nice and helping. I lost my card key while out partying and they gave me another one no problem they were so understanding. Rooms were clean, comfy beds. Just an overall nice vibe id go back again.
Rooms appear recently renovated, are well appointed, and sparsely but creatively decorated. The pool looks very nice. …
Unique hotel with modern appointments and very clean. Good quality soaps and shampoos and towels. Bed very comfortable with fluffy pillows and comforter. Off I 10 so not really quiet but not distractingly bad. Ground are tidy and super close to miles of bike paths . My new go-to :-)
Cute hotel. Amazing sized pool. Quiet on a Wednesday evening. Rooms were small, floors were filthy & shower dispenser out. Good location along highway but have to drive to restaurants or bars. Loud highway traffic noise. Great tasting breakfast.
